Espumizan is a medicine for bloating and heaviness in the abdomen and an additional diagnostic tool.
Espumizan is used in all diseases accompanied by increased formation and accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract (flatulence), accompanied by complaints such as discomfort, bloating, heaviness and fullness in the abdomen, excessive air intake, and when consuming certain foods and beverages leading to increased flatulence (beans, lentils, cabbage, carbonated beverages); in cardiac complaints, as a result of movement of the diaphragm upwards due to accumulation of gases in the gastrointestinal tract; in preparation of the abdominal cavity for imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, etc.).

Adults and children over 6 years.

Active ingredients:

Simethicone 40 mg

Dosage:

In children over 6 years, adolescents and adults - 2 capsules 3-4 times a day.

Espumizan is administered during or after meals and, if necessary, at bedtime.

When preparing the abdominal cavity for imaging: 2 capsules 3 times the day before the examination and 2 capsules in the morning on the day of the examination.

Warnings:

Do not take Espumizan if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance simethicone or any of the other ingredients.

You can use Espumizan during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

If abdominal complaints recur or persist for a long time, you should consult a doctor.

Urticaria (hives) may occur with this drug due to the content of methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Espumizan does not contain sugar and is therefore suitable for diabetics and people with indigestion.
